In June 2025, Dr. Lyu Guo, General Manager of Suntrans, traveled to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to provide interpretation and mining consulting services for Mr. Lyu Yongzhong, Chairman of Guanghui Group, and his delegation, supporting the engagement between Chinese mining enterprises and Kazakh government and industry institutions.
Kazakhstan sits at the resource core of Central Asia, where heavyweight players such as Kazakhmys, KAZAKH INVEST and KMG (KazMunayGas, the national oil and gas company) converge in mining, energy and investment promotion. With recoverable natural gas reserves exceeding 1 trillion cubic meters and coal reserves of about 176.7 billion tonnes (ranking eighth in the world), its resource endowment is exceptional.
Under the Belt and Road framework, China-Kazakhstan mining and energy cooperation continues to deepen. Drawing on its in-depth understanding of Kazakhstan's mineral resources policy, mining rights regulations and business culture, Suntrans provides precise language and consulting support for Chinese executives' overseas visits, negotiations and project implementation.
This Astana mission is another practice through which Suntrans serves Chinese mining enterprises 'going global', and it underscores the company's bridging role between China and the resource markets of Central Asia.
